UTRGV has again attracted the attention of Forbes magazine, being recognized for its return on investment in education.
Edward Conroy’s article “Which Colleges Are Doing The Most For Students With The Least?” highlights UTRGV’s success in graduating students with low post-graduation debt. The findings used price-to-earning metrics compiled by Washington, D.C.-based think tank Third Way.
UTRGV has programs in place both encourage a turnover in graduation rates and low rates of debt after graduation. These include the UTRGV Tuition Advantage program and Luminary Scholars.
“We have worked diligently over the years to invest in our students and their success,” said UTRGV President Guy Bailey. “We are committed to graduating our students, as well as to setting them up for success by having them graduate free of the debt burden so many graduates face for years.”
UTRGV also was recognized this year as second among Texas public universities by Washington Monthly.
