The International Museum of Art & Science is accepting open submissions for Community Altars 2022 in celebration of Día de los Muertos. Submission deadline is Sept. 16 with limited space.

This year’s theme is Inspiring Latinas, incorporating altars for women who empowered their Latinx communities. Altars will be on display in the museum’s Discovery Pavilion from Oct. 9 to Nov. 5. The annual Día de los Muertos Festival will also take place on Oct. 9 from 1-5 p.m.

Individuals and organizations who would like to propose a community altar entry may do so by filling out the Altar Form and emailing to cmichel@theimasonline.com. Entries must adhere to the theme and guidelines on the form.

Selected entries will be notified via email after the deadline and be assigned a setup slot.
