Independence Day Brings New Island Celebration

On June 26, following the Governor’s announcement, the Fourth of July Fireworks show on South Padre Island has been canceled. 

The first annual Red, White and Beach Festival takes place place July 3-4 at the Amphitheater and Event Center on South Padre Island. According to promoters, the event will be “the largest celebration of our Independence Day on the Island.”

The festival will feature surprise artists as well as the legendary INTOCABLE performing all their hits. Besides music, the event will feature libations and an impressive fireworks display.

Promoters will be providing complimentary facemasks and enforcing social distancing rules. In addition, temperatures will be taken of all guests and sanitation stations are available throughout the venue. This venue is currently authorized to support up to 2,500 attendees. However, promoters are expecting 5,000 attendees pending Gov. Abbott’s orders on the COVID-19 situation. 

The event has been made possible by Cameron County, 3G Entertainment, Powerhouse Concerts, Book Em Nano and Dynamic Texas Entertainment. 

The Event Center & Amphitheater is located at 53550 Dolphin Cove.
