Squeeze the Day at Lemonade Day Weslaco

Lemonade Day WeslacoThe Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center hosts Lemonade Day Weslaco at the Isaac D. Rodriguez Park Weslaco (1200 E 6th St, Weslaco, TX) on July 19. From 5:30 to 8 p.m., the community’s young entrepreneurs will be selling lemonade via lemonade stands. The event also includes a selection of food vendors, entertainment and activities.

Last year, Lemonade Day Weslaco earned participants over $10,000, all of which they were able to keep. Many chose to give back, donating their earnings to entities such as The Aurora House Foundation and Weslaco Animal Care Services.

“We know that strong communities are built by strong leaders, and it starts with our youth,” said Weslaco Chamber President/CEO and Lemonade Day Director Barbara Jean Garza. “Lemonade Day gives these young entrepreneurs a fun, meaningful way to explore business and build skills that will shape their future.”

Lemonade Day is a national organization that equips youth ages 6-17 for life through an entrepreneurial experience. Participants learn to own and operate their very own business – a lemonade stand. Weslaco is among the more than 100 cities hosting Lemonade Day across the nation in 2025, and one of three officially licensed in the Rio Grande Valley (joining Brownsville and McAllen).
