The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting nominations for a new board member to join the organization. The position is an opportunity for business professionals who are eager to make a positive impact in their community.
“We are seeking dedicated individuals who are enthusiastic about serving their community and effectively serving our 500+ business members,” stated Ronnie Larralde, executive director of the Edinburg Chamber.
Board members are required to adhere to the following criteria:
- A member or an employee of a business who is a Edinburg Chamber member in good standing
- Live or work in the city of Edinburg
- Available to attend board meetings held on the third Monday of each month
- Committed to serve on their assigned chamber committee
- Able to attend chamber-sponsored functions annually
- Assist in recruiting and retaining members
- Participate in fundraising for the Chamber
- Serve as an enthusiastic advocate for the Chamber
Directors will serve three-year terms starting Oct. 1, 2024 through Sept. 30, 2027, with the option of serving for one additional term.
All candidates must submit their applications by Aug. 9. Candidates will be contacted for an interview by the Nomination Committee.
