Both enrollment centers and financial aid areas will be open for students by appointment only. Students can sign up for an appointment online, or by downloading the Qless app and searching for South Texas College.
Enrollment centers will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Face masks/face coverings must be worn on all STC campuses.
“We know this has been an extremely difficult time for our students, and the Saturday hours allow us to serve students and maintain social distancing,” said Matthew Hebbard, STC vice president of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. “We have a safe campus environment and plenty of online and hybrid class options for fall.
“Many students may be thinking about taking a semester off because of the pandemic, but we strongly encourage students to keep up the momentum to earn a college degree.” he continued. “We are open and we are ready to help, even on the weekend.”
Classes start Aug. 24. The college will be offering approximately 20 percent of its 4,500 courses in an in-person/hybrid format. The rest of the courses are available in online format for the fall.
With the in-person/hybrid model at STC, fall courses requiring hands-on activities will be 50 percent classroom instruction and 50 percent online instruction.
Current and recently enrolled students can also register online at southTexasCollege.edu/register or at any South Texas College location. A complete listing of upcoming classes is available at SouthTexasCollege.edu/academics/courses.
