McAllen Launches Website to Attract Developers

McAllenMeansBusiness.comThe City of McAllen leadership recently launched McAllenMeansBusiness.com, an online resource specifically for local, state and international developers seeking to expand in McAllen.

The platform showcases McAllen’s position as an international gateway, supplying current data, analytics and other useful information to support informed decision making as McAllen’s economy continues to attract interest in investment opportunities.

“We are thrilled to unveil our new website to the public and provide an enhanced online experience for potential business partners,” said McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos. “The site’s information speaks about our stable economy and includes aspects such as transportation, quality of life and international affairs.”

Further Expanding an International Network

As part of a signed partnership, the City of McAllen also welcomed the World Trade Center-Monterrey from Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon to conduct a mentorship session to support strategic planning for small businesses, enhance entrepreneurial skills and learn from international best practices. This unique opportunity targeted Spanish speakers’ business owners, faculty and students.

World Trade Center-Monterrey is part of the WTC Association, an “international ecosystem” of global connections, iconic properties and integrated trade services. The trade service organizations are located in more than 90 countries and are supported by 15,000 WTC professionals who deliver integrated solutions for business needs. 

“Through international engagements, the City of McAllen has been able to drive economic and cultural growth. Also, we have expanded our international network by exchanging best practices and educational opportunities,” said McAllen City Manager Isaac J. Tawil. “In McAllen, we are working diligently to elevate our community to global markets, and innovative initiatives like today’s are a great example of our commitment.”
