Kristi Collier, president/CEO of Welcome Home RGV has been appointed to the board of directors of the Texas Travel Alliance.

The Texas Travel Alliance is the primary advocate and voice for the Texas travel industry. It is a diverse membership of Texas travel destinations, accommodations, attractions, transportation and support businesses.

“We are excited to welcome Kristi to the Texas Travel Alliance Board of Directors,” said Erika Boyd, Texas Travel Alliance president and CEO. “Her ability to create experiences and opportunities for visitors to the RGV, along with her passion for travel and tourism make her an excellent addition to the board.”

Over the last 14 years, Collier has represented the Rio Grande Valley as a premier destination for winter visitors. This experience has allowed Welcome Home to grow to meet the changing needs of the visitor and businesses that serve them. Special events like the Winter Texan Homecoming, Winter Texan Expo, Bayside Fiesta and the Cruise with Kristi expand the visitor experience for the Winter Texan.

The company has continued its mission to stay connected and inform this seasonal community. Welcome Home RGV publishes a weekly newspaper, annual magazine, multiple maps and resource guides. In addition, the business continues to grow with departments that include Promotions by Welcome Home, Travel by Welcome Home and Real Estate by Welcome Home.
