Two elementary schools in the Brownsville Independent School District now hold the distinction of National Blue Ribbon Schools. Dr. Ruben Gallegos Elementary and Mittie A. $1.9 Million Grant Benefits Migrant Students

South Texas College is partnering with the U.S. Department of Education for a High School Equivalency Program grant. One hundred percent of the $1,919,976 grant comes via federal dollars. The grant will implement a five-year project assisting 500 Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers and eligible family members.
