Emergency Room is Seventh for STHS A new freestanding emergency room from South Texas Health System is on the horizon after a groundbreaking May 24. Leaders from STHS, City of Edinburg and Hidalgo County broke the ground at the corner of Monte Cristo Road and Interstate 69. The facility opens in early 2018.
