TSTC Launches New Career Bootcamps

programmingTSTC will soon launch two new online boot camps that train for in-demand careers in both cyber security and full stack web development. These boot camps require no previous experience, and contain tools and support to help students obtain a well-paying job in a short amount of time.

TSTC’s Cybersecurity Analytics course incorporates 13 weeks of online training beginning March 1. According to TSTC, there will be 3.5 million unfilled cybersecurity jobs worldwide by 2021. This course develops skills to start a cybersecurity career as a tier 1+ SOC analyst, threat intel analyst, security consultant or compliance analyst.

The Software Engineer/Full Stack Web Development 20-week online training begins Feb. 16. The course aids students with skills for a career as a professional software engineer. Students will not just learn code but also learn to think and build like a software engineer.

Both courses are full time with students expected to spend 40-plus hours per week working on the program. This includes attending online classes, reading materials, watching videos, and working on labs and projects. Live classes will be around lunchtime Tuesday to Friday, with the option to watch recordings if needed. Software Engineering students can graduate in 20 weeks, while Cybersecurity Analytics students can graduate in 13 weeks.

The courses recently received approval from Workforce Solutions Cameron. They are now on the ETPS list for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act-funded training.
