Valley Initiative for Development and Advancement is the recent recipient of The Meadows Foundation grant to continue enhancing employment opportunities and promoting workforce development among Latinas in the RGV.
This grant project provides VIDA the opportunity to lead a continuation of the successful outcomes and deliverables the program has been serving. VIDA will provide an additional 250 Latinas with student support services to pursue degrees and credentials in high demand occupations.

For more than 27 years, VIDA has helped more than 6,000 economically disadvantaged valley residents successfully complete career training programs in target demand occupations and achieve self sufficiency. Last year, VIDA served 534 participants with an average persistence rate of 94 percent and an average annual salary upon graduation of over $48,000.
