Alamo Small Business WorkshopThe City of Alamo will host its biannual Small Business Workshop Sept. 19 to educate business owners on ways to get financial assistance as well as help bring ideas to fruition.

Alamo EDC Director Rafael Tapia will discuss Alamo programs as well as available opportunities such as the Revolving Loan Program and Micro-Loan Program. These programs assist small businesses and start-ups by providing a low-cost alternative financing option.

Information on Texas Rural Communities will also be of discussion.

Additional information will also be supplied on PeopleFund and LiftFund. PeopleFund provides small business loans to established businesses, nonprofit, and start-ups creating economic opportunity and financial stability. LiftFund is a non-profit organization that helps finance new small business and startup companies.

A representative from the Small Business Development Center will also discuss services for small businesses. This includes business plans, financials and more free of charge.

The Alamo Small Business Workshop is open to the public. RSVPs are not necessary.
