The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce and its ambassadors chose H-E-B on W. Freddy Gonzalez Drive for its Chamber Raid for the month of August. The benefactor of the raid was the United Way with contributions going to its school supply drive. The ambassadors bought in close to $200 in school supplies.
Chamber Raids allow ambassadors, board members and volunteers from the Edinburg Chamber to “raid” a local business to make purchases. Each month, ambassadors meet to decide which member of the Edinburg Chamber will be raided. The purpose of the raid is to support both Edinburg businesses and the overall community. They also serve a secondary purpose in providing social and networking opportunities.
